Clear Space
Your first step in preparing for a new air conditioner is to clear space for our team to work. You may have furniture and other decorations set up between your front door and the location of the central AC unit inside. We encourage you to move these items out of the way so that our key team can work more effectively.
Instead of trying to move carefully around furniture and valuables, our team needs to be more free to move without restrictions. The same thing goes for the area leading to and surrounding the outdoor portion of your air conditioner. You may have yard ornaments and furniture outside that are near the outdoor AC unit. If so, please move those out of the way, too. This helps the installation process go faster.
Make a Plan for Kids and Pets
If you have children and pets, it’s a good idea to make plans for them on the day of the installation. Children and pets are both very curious and may be interested in the AC installation process. However, it’s really not safe for your pets or your kids to be out while our team is working.
If it is possible, we encourage you to arrange for your kids to stay with friends or family. The same thing goes for your pets. Alternatively, you may designate a room that is away from the indoor AC unit and shut the door so kids and pets can be entertained safely away from our working area.
Keep Your Day Free
It’s also a good idea to clear your schedule so that you can be available if we need you. Of course, we don’t need your assistance with any portion of the installation itself. But sometimes, things do come up that we may need to ask you about. We may have to make adjustments to our original installation plan based on discoveries that we make as we remove your old unit.
